Percolating Your Passion With Purpose

— Rev. Corinne Crockett

Affirmation

I nurture my passion; it blends naturally with my purpose!

Discover how to become a more deliberate creator, activating your purpose with your passion. The Science part of Science of Mind offers valuable tools as we recognize the power of observation and focus.

Join Rev. Corinne this Sunday, August 13 at 10:30am PT at Studio 9, 1180 Houghton Road, Kelowna, BC. Doors open at 10:15am. Please visit the event page for more details and a map. Everyone is welcome!

This Week’s Science of Mind Theme

Percolating Your Passion With Purpose

First Cause is creative. It expresses itself through us as we are the medium that Spirit demonstrates in human form. As we create a Divine mental mold, the Universe responds with an equivalent physical manifestation. Activating our inner sense of joy, becomes our purpose; the two are combined to benefit and even contribute to the expansion of the Universe. We are a science-based teaching. There is a direct link in that what we think about, we bring about.

As quantum physics so aptly points out, when we give our observation to anything in life, it can change the dynamics from “wave to particle”, from energy to matter. By becoming aware of what we are giving our attention to, we make a conscious first step. Once we allow the thoughts and feelings to percolate, they begin to show up in our experience.

Awakening to your Passion

Last weekend, Rev. Melody Bailey gave a talk titled Awakening to your Passion.

Many people arrived all at the same time, so it was a great photo opportunity out in front of Studio 9 in Kelowna, where we hold our services every Sunday. Left to right: Blair, Maureen, Angela, Irene, Ron, Fred, Jean, Margaret and Rev. Corinne.

Rev. Barbara Samuel sang some of our favourite congregational hymns.

She invited Rev. Gwen Smith onto the stage to sing with her and Neal Klassen.

Rev. Jeanette Vinek made the announcements, including a reminder to subscribe to our blogs (if you haven't already).

People moved to the music.

They also provided some percussion with their clapping!

The crowd turned toward the camera to acknowledge our livestreamers.

Practitioner Irene shared an affirmative prayer.

Rev. Barb and Rev. Gwen closed out the service with "Just Say Yes!"

Watch the full service on YouTube.

Community Visioning

After service last Sunday, August 6, we had a Community Visioning session. There were 39 people in attendance. Rev. Jeanette Vinek guided the process.

Then, we had lunch together. Kathy, Magda and Tracy prepared the food…

…and set it out on a long, buffet-style table in the auditorium.

Left to right: Jean, Jasmine, Frank, Pam, Margaret, Fred, Grant, Annik and Cassie.

Rev. Corinne, Bina, Ornella, Pooja and Jisha.

Jan, Pam, Irene, Wendy and Martin.

Jolene, Angela, Kathy, Lainey, Maureen and Rev. Jeanette.

Deborah, Marjorie, Tracy, Magda and Blair.

Rev. Gwen, Rev. Barb, Rev. Melody and Shirley.

Time to pack it all away until next week!

Sending out a huge thank you to all of our volunteers!
