SPECIAL TWO-HOUR WORKSHOP
With Rev. John DePalma
"We’re All Butterflies — Are We Ready to Fly?"
An Interactive Workshop: Exploring what happens inside the Chrysalis – and why it matters
Like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, we are all in a process of becoming. The challenge isn’t in our potential, it’s in creating the conditions that allow us to emerge fully into who we are meant to be. Through deep connection, self-awareness, and intentional action, we can create sacred spaces that nurture this transformation, both personally and collectively.
This 2-hour interactive workshop will help you:
🦋 Discover how small groups serve as the chrysalis for awakening and transformation.
🦋 Learn practical tools to foster trust, belonging, and deep connection
🦋 Explore how Ken Wilber’s "Wake Up, Grow Up, Clean Up, Show Up" model provides a personal roadmap for building the Beloved Community.🦋 Experience a safe, engaging space where you can reflect, share, and take steps toward meaningful action.
A Way Forward: Your Personal Transformation Path
To truly emerge as our highest selves and contribute to a thriving community, we must journey through these four stages:
✨ Wake Up – Deepen your awareness of your inner life, your connection to something greater, and the role of spiritual practice in awakening.
✨ Grow Up – Expand your emotional and psychological maturity, embracing diverse perspectives and moving beyond ego-driven thinking.
✨ Clean Up – Do the inner work of healing, releasing old wounds, and developing greater self-accountability.
✨ Show Up – Bring your whole, authentic self into the world, taking action in alignment with your values to co-create the Beloved Community.
Together, we’ll explore how these four dimensions shape our personal and collective emergence—and how small groups can provide the support needed for lasting transformation.

Last Sunday's Talk
The Perfect Antidote
Rev. Corinne Crockett
Last Sunday, Rev. Corinne Crockett kicked off Kindness week with a talk about the art and the science of kindness and the power of kindness to transform our lives.
If you missed her talk or want to see it again, click here:

February is Black History Month, honoring the triumphs and struggles of African Americans throughout history. By learning about and endorsing Black History Month, CSL Kelowna demonstrates its commitment to social justice, equity, and the recognition of the inherent worth and dignity of every individual.
The Benefits of Learning about Black History
Acknowledging Contributions—Black individuals and communities have significantly contributed to society in science, spirituality, art, politics, literature, music, and countless other fields. Recognizing these contributions ensures that history is more complete and inclusive.
Understanding the Past – Learning about Black history sheds light on historical injustices such as slavery, segregation, and systemic racism, as well as the movements that advocated for civil rights and equality.
Promoting Equality and Awareness—This helps foster awareness of issues related to racial inequality and discrimination. This knowledge is crucial in working toward a more just and equitable society and CSL Kelowna’s vision of a world that works for all, as we foster our values of extraordinary respect, compassion, safety, and accountability
Inspiring Future Generations – Stories of resilience, leadership, and innovation from Black history can inspire people of all backgrounds to overcome challenges, pursue their dreams, and contribute to positive change in their communities.
Correcting Historical Omissions – Traditional narratives often overlook or downplay Black contributions. Black History Month provides an opportunity to highlight and celebrate these stories, ensuring that history is accurately told.
Encouraging Cultural Appreciation – Learning about Black history helps people appreciate the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and artistic expressions that have influenced and shaped global culture.
Building a More Inclusive Society – Understanding different histories and experiences fosters respect, inclusivity, and unity among diverse communities.
IS THIS THE FACE OF THE TAXMAN?

Nope, but you can get your 2023 Tax Receipt from her on Sunday.
Rev. Diane has lovingly prepared the 2024 tax receipts and is handing them out on Sundays at service. If you live away or are unable to pick your receipt up, they will be mailed to you by the end of February.
The generous sharing of your time, talent, and treasure is a powerful demonstration of support for our shared purpose of transforming lives and inspiring people to make a positive difference in the world.

Loanne did such an amazing job in providing us all rich opportunity to engage in Random Acts of Kindness this week!

Loanne created these beautiful boxes that contained candies, and a list of Random Acts of Kindness to be performed throughout the week - or always!
Thank you, Loanne, for your vision, talent, love, and time in creating the most spectacular Random Acts of Kindness Sunday for us all.
Now, Loanne hopes to hear from YOU! She is excited to receive emails, letting her know of your experience. Even doing THIS is an act of Kindness.
Please send Loanne an email at peacetoyou@shaw.ca, sharing your stories, how people responded and how you felt. We’ll share these stories with others in our Centre.
We hope you’ve experienced fun and upliftment through your kind acts!
