Every single time you help somebody stand up; you are helping humanity rise.
- Steve Maraboli: Life, the Truth, and Being Free
What is ours to do? How can we make a difference in this big, sometimes concerning world?
We tend to focus on the science in Science of Mind, but living is as much art as it is science. Every moment we are creating, and we never create in a vacuum. Every moment, we are weaving, and are woven, into a great tapestry of interbeing.
We are called, as conscious beings, to participate in the transformation of our world.
Ernest Holmes, founder of Science of Mind, reminds us that it is not enough to pray and meditate, we must also act in the world. As Divine Mind is omnipresent, everything is connected. In recognizing the interconnected nature of life, and that how we show-up matters.
It may be chilly outside, but you’re sure to discover warmth, support and upliftment when arriving in the heart of our Beloved Community, CSL Kelowna.
This Sunday, we’ll be learning more about the art and the science of kindness, as Rev. Corinne shares the power of kindness to transform our lives.
We’re going to have some fun on Sunday, offering sweets for the mind, soul, and body, as we kick off our Kindness Kampaign. This is one way we can show up and make a positive difference in the world.
“In the face of isolationism, protectionism, racism—the simple concept of looking outwardly and beyond ourselves, of kindness and collectivism, might just be as good a starting point as any.”
-Jacinda Ardern, 40th Prime Minister of New Zealand.
Join us at Studio 9 (1180 Houghton Rd, Kelowna, BC V1X 2C9). Doors open at 10:15am. Enter the property by the side entrance behind the staff parking lot. Look for our signs to guide you! Please use street parking or park at Ben Lee Park (1.5 blocks away).
Or you can always watch our live stream on Facebook Live via Centre for Spiritual Living Kelowna's Facebook page.
After the service, you can find all talks on our YouTube channel.

Kindness Week
February 9 - 15
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/74e6bc_623f8ab7ad344329a9ce41a2dd958c24~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_300,h_168,al_c,q_80,enc_auto/74e6bc_623f8ab7ad344329a9ce41a2dd958c24~mv2.jpg)
At CSL Kelowna, we’re all about transforming lives and inspiring people to make a positive difference in the world. We have a fun activity planned to help us do just that.
February 9 – 15 is Kindness Week with Valentine’s Day nestled along with it. In celebration of both, we’ve decided it will be fun to offer a Kindness Kampaign to our Beloved Community and YES, chocolate may be involved.
Our Kindness Kampaign, led by Loanne Macdonald, offers our community the opportunity to participate in SIMPLE Random Acts of Kindness (RAK). Following service on Sunday, February 9th, you’ll be invited to pick up a Valentine treat bag or box holding a suggestion for your Random Act of Kindness, kinda like a fortune cookie.
Your RAK is to be performed at some point during the following week. There is no limit to the number of times you can perform your kind act. You might love the feeling you get from performing these simple acts so much, enjoying the responses you receive, that you want to do it again and again.
We’ll provide opportunity to share your experiences so they can be shared for all to enjoy.
You’ll want to be there, Sunday, February 9th to pick up your Kindness Box and participate in the fun.

What Is Reality?
The Butterfly Dream Paradox
The Butterfly Dream Paradox is story from the ancient Chinese philosopher, Zhuangzi, that questions what is real. Zhuangzi dreams he is a butterfly. He is so immersed in the dream that he forgets he was Zhuangzi. When he wakes up, he realizes that he is Zhuangzi, but he can’t be sure if he was the man who dreamed he was a butterfly, or if he is the butterfly who dreamed he was a man.
