The Principle Always Works!
— Dr. Kenn Gordon
“Resentment blocks energy. Energy follows love”
— Dr. Kenn Gordon
Everything in the Universe flows. Left on its own, it flows perpetually. There is an input and an outlet. Block or crimp the input, and the flow slows or stops; block or crimp the outlet, and the result is the same.
You have to both receive and give in order to be in the flow. You have to be able to receive energy and you need to share it. If we take the 4 quadrants of life: health, wealth, creative expression and loving relationships, and apply this principle, we can see how it works.
When the flow stops, stagnation is the experience. Try staying still for a couple of years and see what occurs to your body. Give without receiving or receive without giving and see what occurs to your finances. Cut off your creativity, neither receiving or sharing, and see what happens to your fulfillment. Refuse to be loved and refuse to love, and see what happens to your love life.

This Week’s Point of View from the Science of Mind
We are each a reflection of the Infinite Self; everyone around us reflects ourselves. “Just like me” – everyone is doing the best they can with what they have. When we find compassion for ourselves in doing the best that we can, we are able to transfer our compassion to those around us.
As we come into a deeper, kinder, and more honest understanding of ourselves, we can attune to our pure Spirit, stay in alignment and recognize our Oneness in normal, every day occurrences.
When we let go of the stories we tell ourselves and release them to Spirit, we can truly be fully present with ourselves, God and the world. This reflection affects our world: because we are at peace, the world around us will also be more at peace.
This connection is the movement of the Divine within us, around us, and between us. Creating a connection with another, also creates a connection to Spirit, and allows for a deeper connection within ourselves. Connecting to Spirit also
allows for more connection with ourselves, which creates a more genuine connection with others.
Let’s make the great commitment to get connected and stay connected.
Beautiful Flowers at the Peace Centre
Among the beautiful flowers that our volunteer, Val Hardy, planted at the Peace Centre this summer, were sunflowers that grew tall enough to compete with the height of the building!
Dr. Deborah Gordon reminds us how Val inherited the role of PPC gardener: “For many years, we had a lovely German woman, Millie Von Meerheimb, who tended our gardens at the Peace Centre. She was amazing, and we so appreciated her love and diligence. We believed she could never be replaced and were heartbroken when in her mid-80s she left Kelowna to move to Alberta to be closer to her daughter. Dr. Kenn says: Never an angel leaves your life, than an archangel appears. And voilà: Val Hardy took over loving and tending our gardens!”
We are so very blessed to have Val, as she tends the garden with a true love for each and every plant!
Huge gratitude and thanks also to Jean Elmer for her help with the garden this year, and to Gilles Prudhomme for his much appreciated expertise in caring for our trees and lawn. Every once in a while, we have a special project where Darren Topp comes out to help. All of our activities at the Peace Centre are overseen by our amazing volunteer, Judy Kerr.
Over the years, we've had so many wonderful volunteers, and we are grateful for them all!
Community Conversations: Manifesting Health
Starting soon! Beginning on Wednesday, October 7th, a small group of people will explore new thought principles related to physical health and wholeness.
For four consecutive Wednesdays, we’ll meet on Zoom for conversation, prayer support, spiritual practice, and an exploration of Science of Mind principles. There is no fee, but we ask you to commit to full participation in all four weeks. Donations to the Centre for Spiritual Living Kelowna are welcome and greatly appreciated.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who is experiencing a physical health challenge, or for someone who is in the process of making health-related changes in their life.
Each participant will have the opportunity to develop a clear intention for their health, to identify mental equivalents for the wellbeing that they wish to experience, and to uncover and release belief systems that may be affecting their physical health.
Manifesting Health will be facilitated by practitioners Derek Hinchliffe and Amanda Pope, who will also provide daily prayer support for participants throughout the 4 weeks.
Online registration is required. Please RSVP on the Manifesting Health event page. This group is limited to 10 participants. RSVP now!
When: Wednesdays, October 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 7pm to 8:30pm
Where: Zoom
If you have any questions please email Amanda Pope (amandajpope@msn.com).
