This Soul Food Sunday’s talk:
The Christ Consciousness of a Child
— Rev. Barbara Samuel and Neal Klassen
“In the eyes of children, we find the joy of Christmas.
In their hearts, we find its meaning.”
— Leland Thomas
What is it that is most appealing about children? Is it simply their physical beauty? Is it their openness to loving and being loved? Their playfulness, their innate humour? Beyond these things, in my view, children are beautiful because they possess something that we have all misplaced – the quality of innocence.
Join Rev. Barb, Neal and our in-person congregation this Sunday, December 4th at 10:30am PT at Studio 9, 1180 Houghton Road, Kelowna, BC. Doors open at 10:15am. Please visit the event page for more details and a map. Everyone is welcome!
If you are not feeling well, please stay at home and watch us on Facebook Live.
This Week’s Science of Mind Theme
Into We See
Who we acknowledge as being part of our community is a vital part of creating community. When we see people in our community as “outside” or fail to see them at all, we limit the possibilities for our greater whole. Whatever the perceived difference, there is value in making genuine connections with all people.
Science of Mind calls for us to recognize wholeness – Spirit Itself – expressing through all things. If it is here, it is to be known. If there is no separation, then the only real separation is my ego self creating that illusion.
Diversity is a human attribute. It is one of the qualities of life, with an infinite variety of expressions. As our world has become smaller (thanks in large part to technology), we have expanded our awareness of the full range of human diversity. Practicing curiosity in interactions with others develops deeper and richer relationships. Curiosity expresses a genuine interest in another person’s lived experience of the world, while checking our own assumptions or biases.
We may not realize how much bigger the world is until we deliberately step outside our habits and comfort zone. It’s time to engage in meaningful dialogue with each person we meet. The benefit is a greater richer life and a greater richer community.
“We are all different. There is no such thing as a standard or run-of-the-mill human being, but we share the same human spirit.”
— Stephen Hawking

We have been born into an extraordinary time. Every Soul has come here with a purpose. We have been gifted with an extraordinary awareness. “Love points the way and Law makes the way possible”. With this gift we can boldly with confidence move into the dawning of a new day for ourselves, humanity and the earth.
Rev. Barb Samuel sang "The Rose" and "To God Be the Glory".

Secret Santa Campaign for CSL Kenya
CSL Kelowna is kicking off our Secret Santa Campaign for CSL Kenya. This is an opportunity for us all to do some meaningful Christmas shopping!
While any donation is wonderful, each donation of $50 will support a child to be fed for a month, and provide Christmas dinner for their family, or support one of the 11 teachers who work without a wage.
These donations can be gifted to your loved ones as a way of giving a gift that will change lives!
Visit CSL Kenya Secret Santa page for more information and to donate.
Blessings Abound, Holiday Gift Box Sunday and Luncheon
Coming up on December 11th is another very special service with the talk title Honouring Community, Blessing All and Belonging. This is a special sacred service: a day of honouring and gratitude. We’ll be having a different Sunday format than we're used to, featuring Dr. Kenn, Dr. Deborah and Rev. Corinne, as well as Irene Kowalchuk, our longest-serving spiritual practitioner.
Coming together in community is so important during this time of transition; your presence and membership is vital in the growth and evolution of our Centre. Please grace us with your presence in sacred ceremony as Drs. Kenn and Deborah extend each person blessings and a gift, with an opportunity to bless and be blessed.
Plan to stay for a simple lunch provided by the Centre, and spend time in connection and community. Everyone is welcome! See details.
Practitioner Support
Our ministers and practitioners are in service to all of us. If you need help to see the Truth in a situation; if you are looking for clarity; if you are struggling in this challenging time; our ministers and practitioners are here to support you. You can contact them through the About page on our website, or you can submit a prayer request on the Contact page.
Nature’s Fare Receipts Help CSLK!
